What the dispatcher needs to know
Heavier vehicles take more planning. Expect questions about the vehicle type and make, the gross vehicle weight rating (on the door-jamb sticker), whether it is loaded, and how many axles it has. The dispatcher will also ask whether it has air brakes, which matters because a truck with no air pressure will have its spring brakes locked. Then they need to know where it is and which direction it faces.
With that, they can send a wrecker that can actually lift it, rather than a light truck that turns up, takes one look and leaves. If the vehicle is blocking a lane on I-5 or 99, CHP will be involved, and they may call their own heavy rotation tow.
